North Sarah Redevelopment Phase I and II

Phase I of the North Sarah Community includes 120 mixed-income apartments, in a combination of townhome and garden-style units totaling 158,000 sf.  The buildings are wood construction with brick and stone siding.  Of the four buildings fronting North Sarah Street, three have commercial/retail space on the first floor (approximately 7,000 sf which provides a flexible live-work space).  The fourth building includes approximately 4,900 sf of management/community space.

The Public Improvements portion of the work includes new waterlines, milling of three streets and providing 2” asphalt overlay, with new curbs, sidewalks, landscaping, irrigation and site lighting.

The architecture of North Sarah preserves the historic character of the surrounding community while featuring modern amenities and environmentally sustainable (“green” technology). The development is designed in accordance with Enterprise Green Communities criteria.

Phase II includes 103 mixed-income apartments in 12 buildings plus 6,000 sf of retail space.
