The 27,000-SF addition and renovation project at the existing Rolla Junior High School building consisted of a new commercial kitchen, cafeteria, administrative offices, classrooms, and renovations of existing kitchen and classrooms. The site includes new traffic lanes for bus parking, as well as new traffic lanes for the car drop-off and parking for the site.
Brinkmann was able to offer value engineering savings opportunities generating $175,000 in savings due to budget concerns for the project.
Completed 12 Months Early
Other notable achievements involved an aggressive approach to the phasing schedule, which reduced the overall completion of the project by 12 months. Brinkmann was able to expedite the completion of the new cafeteria in time for use for the 2011 school year.
